Essay on Chandrayaan 2 in English

Chandrayaan-2 is India's second lunar spacecraft, which has been developed by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). This is a matter of great pride for us. Earlier, India successfully launched Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft on the surface of the moon on 14 November 2008. And now we are ready to send Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft to the moon again for the second time. The spacecraft was launched by GSLV version 3 launch vehicle. The mission consists of a lunar orbiter, a rover, and a lander. Chandrayaan-2's lander was named Vikram and Rover was named Pragyan. The rover had 6 wheels. All these have been built in India.

Chandrayaan-2 was successfully launched from Sriharikota range on 22 July 2019 at 2:43 PM Indian time. Chandrayaan-2's lander and rover had a mission to land on high ground between two large ravines, Mazinus C and Simpelius N, at a latitude about 70 ° south of the Moon. The rover had wheels whose job was to walk on the surface of the moon and chemically analyze the place. This analysis was to collect samples of soil and rock present there. And the results of these analyses would have been sent on Earth with the help of Chandrayaan-2 lunar orbiter. About 45 days after the launch of Chandrayaan-2, the time came when Chandrayaan-2 was to make a soft landing on the moon's surface.
On 6 September 2019 at 1:52 pm, the lander deviated from its intended path, about 2.1 km from the landing, and ground control with the spacecraft lost communication. Chandrayaan-2's lander and rover were damaged but the lunar orbiter is still underground control. And it will continue to work till July 2026. Crores of rupees spent to build Chandrayaan-2 mission, But compared to all the countries that made this mission before India, India made it in very economical rupees. 978 crore rupees were spent to complete this mission.
