Mahatma Gandhi was a great freedom fighter who devoted his whole life to the cause of the country's independence. Mahatma Gandhi's full name was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. His wife's name was Kasturba Gandhi, who was married to Gandhiji at the age of 13. After completing his 10th and college studies, Gandhi went to England to study law. After completing the law, he returned to his native place. Gandhiji was the greatest leader Of the freedom movement who fought hard for independence. He also started a great and dynamic movement against the British which we call the Satyagraha movement. And in 1942, he started another movement, whose name was "Bharat Chhodo Aandolan". This movement was also launched against the British, which aimed to rout the British from India.
Mahatma Gandhi's life was quite simple, he did not consider apartheid and casteism. He also made great efforts to destroy the tradition Of untouchables from Indian society, and in turn, gave them the name Of the untouchables as "Harijan", which means "People of God". He was a great man who believed in non-violence and social unity. On 30 January 1948, Nathuram Godse shot and killed Gandhiji. His tomb is located in Rajghat Delhi. On January 30th in India, it is celebrated as Saheed Diwas in his memory.
