- आज 2 अक्टूबर है जो की महात्मा गाँधी जी का जन्मदिन है ।
- महात्मा गांधी का पूरा नाम मोहन दास करम चंद गाँधी था ।
- पर वे बापू के नाम से ज्यादा प्रसिद्ध थे , उन्हें राष्ट्रीय पिता भी कहा जाता है।
- उनका जन्म 2 अक्टूबर 1869 को पोरबंदर गुजरात में हुआ था ।
- उनके पिता का नाम करम चंद गांधी और उनकी माता का नाम पुतली बाई था ।
- और उनकी पत्नी का नाम कस्तूरबा गांधी था जिसका विवाह गाँधी जी से 13 वर्ष की आयु में हुआ था ।
- गाँधी जी अपनी कानून की पढ़ाई इंग्लैंड में पूरा किया ।
- उन्होंने अंग्रेजों के खिलाफ महान और एतेहासिक आन्दोलन को भी शुरू किया जो सत्याग्रह आन्दोलन और भारत छोडो आन्दोलन थे ।
- 1948 को नाथूराम गोडसे नामक व्यक्ति ने गाँधी जी की गोली मर कर हत्या कर दी ।
- उनकी मृत्यु के समय उन्होंने " हे राम " कहा था।
- उनका समाधि राज घाट दिल्ली में स्थित है।
- उनके समाधी पर भी " हे राम " लिखा है ।
- "स्वच्छ भारत मिशन" उनकी याद में शुरू हुआ।
