Holi is one of the main festivals of our country. This is a festival of Hindu religion, but people of all religions celebrate it together. It comes in the month of March every year, According to the Hindi Calendar, that is called Falgun Mas. Holi festival is celebrated in every state of the country. It is a festival of colours in which people put colour on each other. Before the Holi, people buy colours and Abeer from the market. These days the festivity increases in the markets. There is a different enthusiasm at this festival.

Children buy different types of water gun from the market on this day. On the day of Holi, by this water gun, they use it for colouring others. Holika Dahan occurs during the night before one day of Holi. In Holika Dahan, dry wood, grasshopper etc. are burnt. For this, people voluntarily give donations. The dry wood and other materials are purchased for the Holika Dahan from these donations. Behind the Holika Dahan is mythology Which reflects the victory of good over evil. Holi is celebrated on the very next day of Holika Dahan.

On the day of Holi, sweets and other types of dishes are made in the houses. On this day children and young celebrate it by colouring each other. On Holi, people gather together and make a group. This group carries drum and other musical instrument and they put colour and Abeer to each other. Children take blessings from them by putting Abeer in the feet of elders. Some people throw colours of the balloon on the other which is very wrong. We should not use the balloon.

The balloon can cause damage to anyone. Nowadays, chemical colours are also being sold in markets. We should avoid purchasing these chemicals colour. This chemical colour can cause harm to anyone. Colours and Abeer run till noon. In the afternoon, people wear new clothes and go to each other's house. On this day people forget all the complaints and share happiness with each other.
